Elizabeth S. Mayers, LCSW-BACS, BCD

With almost 20 years of clinical experience, Ms. Mayers is knowledgeable in a wide variety of settings including mental health clinics, adoption agencies and hospitals. Prior to opening Mayers Mental Health in August of 2014, Ms. Mayers served as the Clinical Director as well as an adult and couples therapist at Aucoin & Associates Psychology Practice, located in Lafayette, LA. Ms. Mayers specializes in adult individual therapy, couples, and group therapy.  Her vast clinical experiences and areas of interest include women’s issues (including postpartum depression and fertility struggles), mood disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, PTSD, adoption related stressors, relationship issues, LGBTQ population, and challenges associated with life transitions.

A native of Washington, D.C., Ms. Mayers attended the National Catholic School of Social Services where she earned her Master’s in Social Work. She continued her education and earned a Board Certification in Social Work and Psychotherapy in 2006. Most recently, Ms. Mayers completed her licensure as a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. Elizabeth is a proud resident of Lafayette, LA, where she has resided with her family since 2008.
