Stacy J. Williams, MSW, LCSW

 

Stacy J. Williams, MSW, LCSW has been practicing at Mayers Mental Health since August of 2014. She possesses over 15 years of experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide array of mental health concerns including, but not limited to,  Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder as well as Family Relational Difficulties and Peer/Social Difficulties.   In addition to her 15 years conducting assessments, making treatment recommendations, and providing comprehensive therapy for children, adolescents, and adults,  Ms. Williams has also worked in the school system assisting school administrators and faculty with behavior interventions, co-leading a bereavement group for children, and assisting in teaching a daily peer leadership class.  She also maintained a caseload of students referred for individual counseling. 

During her time with the Stop Rape Crisis Center (SRCC) in Baton Rouge, Ms. Williams provided an array of services such as individual counseling, support during the reporting process, response to crisis calls, and co-facilitating the SRCC Teen Survivor Support Group.

Originally from Mandeville, Louisiana, Ms. Williams attended the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, receiving a B.A. in English.  She then attended Louisiana State University where she earned her Master of Social Work.  Ms. Williams has resided in Lafayette with her family since 2009.
